Real Madrid released a medical report on Marcelo. The Brazilian defender was diagnosed with a traumatic arthritis in his left knee after he received a knock during Friday's training session. There is no timetable for Marcelo's return, unluckily enough for the fans and journalists alike.
Considering that Marcelo's replacement Fàbio Coentrao is also out after he sprained his ankle in Vallecas, Real Madrid will have to play with Arbeloa or Nacho in that position until either Coentrao or Marcelo recover.Marcelo was a key player for Carlo Ancelotti, who had no doubts about giving him the starting spot over Fàbio Coentrao due to his offensive skills.
